Logistics BusinessDevey Praises South Link on Reaching Business Milestones

Renowned entrepreneur Hilary Devey CBE has praised Sussex’s South Link Logistics as the business celebrates reaching the £3m turnover mark.

The Lancing-based firm has also reached another milestone – its first two years as a member of Hilary’s palletised freight network Pall-Ex, which has helped contribute towards South Link’s growth.

“I’ve worked with a lot of businesses in my time, and South Link Logistics is up there with the best,”
commented Hilary, CEO of Pall-Ex.

“Logistics is a tough market and it requires grit and determination by the bucket-load. South Link’s team has this in abundance and I’m delighted to hear that the firm is going from strength-to-strength. It’s a competitive industry and to be able to grow a business, as South Link has done, is commendable.”

South Link Logistics was founded in 1991 and was initially turning over around £500k per year. In 1999, Karl Reidy acquired the business and has focused on growth, joining the Pall-Ex network in 2014 to offer customers in the South East the ability to have goods transported quickly and cost-effectively across the UK.

Now with a turnover of £3m, South Link operates a fleet of 15 vehicles, with access to 400 further rental vehicles with its partner allports, and employs a team of 25 people.
